PipeSnug is the evolution of an idea by Chris Burdett, a builder and bricklayer with over 25 years’ experience in the trade.
Chris met Alex Lever (through their kids’ school) and discussed his idea one evening over a drink. As you do. Alex has founded and run a number of companies, in a wide range of industry sectors, and was excited with the potential of the product as there really did not seem to be anything like it on the market.
Let Chris explain: “The PipeSnug concept came to me out on site one day when I was preparing to point mortar around a waste pipe for what seemed like the millionth time. I realised a simple fitting would save so much time compared to mixing mortar or siliconing around the pipe, as well as blending into the fabric of the building visually.
PipeSnug is an innovative product that makes installing pipes easier and replaces the need to spend valuable time and resource ‘making good’ around pipes where they exit the wall.
Quicker, cheaper, and cleaner
Quicker, cheaper, and cleaner than mortar, silicone or expanding foam, PipeSnug can be used on any plumbing or construction project. It provides a professional, tidy, air- and water-tight finish to every job.
Part L Building Regulation compliance
To help ensure air tightness around pipes in walls for energy efficiency, Part L requires pipe grommets and pipe collars to be fitted as part of any new build dwelling. PipeSnug and FlueSnug are a quick and easy path to compliance for Building Regulations for pipes in walls.
PipeSnug is a great product and saves me up to 45 minutes compared with mixing cement properly, making good and then cleaning my tools and bucket.”
“These bad boys are a game changer!”
“Neat product, looks great. My customer was really impressed with the finish.”
“Sometimes the simplest of products provide the best solutions.”
